Free Mustard Seeds

Hi! This is Fr. Patrick Gonyeau, a priest in the Archdiocese of Detroit, and I'd love to share with you the Word of God. I was once an agnostic and dared God to show me He was real...and the rest is history. There is no greater gift that we can receive than Jesus Christ who brings us the joy of salvation! It is my hope and prayer that these homilies bring to you and those you share them with the joy of knowing and loving Jesus...who is calling all of us! Bishop Fulton Sheen once said, "the greatest love story of all time is contained in a little white host."  This reflection takes a close look at the famous "bread of life" discourse of Jesus in the Synagogue in Capernaum.  We're meant to live in this love story, to be renewed in it day in and day out, and most spectacularly, by the Eucharist.  No matter what is happening in our lives, world and even Church...through the Eucharist Jesus continues to strengthen us to share the very conviction of St. Peter who said to Jesus in the midst of great turmoil, "to whom shall we go...you have the words of of eternal life."

Many a time we've heard the famous passage from Psalm 34:9 "taste and see the goodness of the Lord."  Powerful words indeed...inviting us to LIVE for God's glory, imbued with God's presence.
