Free Mustard Seeds

Hi! This is Fr. Patrick Gonyeau, a priest in the Archdiocese of Detroit, and I'd love to share with you the Word of God. I was once an agnostic and dared God to show me He was real...and the rest is history. There is no greater gift that we can receive than Jesus Christ who brings us the joy of salvation! It is my hope and prayer that these homilies bring to you and those you share them with the joy of knowing and loving Jesus...who is calling all of us! "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light..."(Is 9:1)  The stunning gift of Jesus, Emmanuel (God with us) is as precious and life-changing today as the first Christmas, when Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God entered into our world...

Through the words of the prophet Isaiah, "The desert and the parched land will exult; the steppe will rejoice and bloom" we hear a powerful word of divine encouragment from the Lord to get ready for the transformative grace of Christmas Glory...

(Mt 3:11)   On this second Sunday of Advent we look at repentance, and giving the Holy Spirit permission to fill us, especially in the areas we need to change live more fully life in the Spirit.
